We know we teased the ProCharger supercharger systems for the 5.0L V8 F150s way back in November, and a ravenous horde of truck owners have been chomping at the bit to get at even the slightest scraps of information that we could get on these awesome supercharger systems. Well, the day has finally come and the final details of ProCharger's F150 5.0L centrifugal supercharger systems are finally in our hands, and the news is even better than what we originally announced. ProCharger now offers a High Output Intercooled kit and a Stage 2 Intercooled kit for the 5.0L truck, bot of which are available as complete systems or tuner kits for your convenience. The High Output Complete Kit gives your 5.0L Coyote V8 a total of 530hp crankshaft horsepower, while the Stage 2 Complete kit brings total crank horsepower up to 590hp. These kits give your F150 a power output that's equivalent to nearly any other roots-style blower on the market at a much lower price with an easier install than just about any other forced-induction system available for the 5.0L F150s.
All four of ProCharger's new F150 5.0L supercharger kits come with one of their legendary and extremely powerful P-1SC centrifugal head units. The head unit comes standard with a highly advanced and efficient impeller design manufactured out of 7075-T6 billet aluminum. The High Output System for the 5.0L trucks comes with a three-core air-to-air intercooler that allows the system to produce 6 to 7psi of boost pressure. The Stage 2 System improves power outputs by adding an even more efficient and powerful "Race" intercooler that allows the head unit to produce 8 to 9psi of boost for larger power gains. The High Output Tuner Kit and the Stage 2 Tuner Kits include the same intercoolers as their complete cousins, but do not come with fuel systems upgrades or PCM tuning, which are required for these supercharger systems. ProCharger's tuner kits are perfect for trucks that are already heavily modified with things like long tube headers or even adapting one of these ProCharger systems for a Boss 302 Manifold where custom tuning may be required.
Whichever ProCharger system you end up grabbing for your truck, you'll be getting all the power and torque you'll ever need out of your 5.0L F150 all while saving serious cash and headaches over competing supercharger kits. We here at Stage 3 are going to receive one of the first available systems for installation onto our 2012 F150 5.0L FX4 Project Truck within the next couple of weeks.
