Perfect Combination of Sound and Performance
The S3M Phase 4 Package is built for F150 owners who want to get the most out of their 2011-2014 truck equipped with the 3.7L V6. While this engine is known for reliability and solid everyday performance, the factory setup leaves room for improvement in both airflow and tuning. This package takes a well rounded approach by upgrading the intake system, improving exhaust flow, increasing throttle capacity, and refining the engine’s calibration with custom tuning. The combined effect is a truck that feels quicker to respond and more eager to pull when you press the throttle. From merging onto the highway to hauling gear in the bed, the truck simply feels more lively and confident. It is a balanced upgrade that improves how the engine breathes, how it responds, and how it delivers power.
More Efficient Intake that's Easy to Install
The airflow improvements begin with the aFe Magnum FORCE Stage 2 cold air intake system. The factory intake works well for stock operation, but it restricts how much air the engine can pull in during acceleration. The aFe system replaces the stock air box, paper filter, and inlet tubing with a more efficient design that allows the engine to breathe more freely. At the center of the intake is the Pro 5R reusable oiled air filter, which uses multiple layers of cotton media to capture contaminants while still allowing a strong volume of air to pass through. The filter sits inside a sealed heat shield assembly that helps isolate it from engine bay heat. This keeps intake air cooler and more consistent during daily driving. With the improved airflow and smoother inlet path, the 3.7L engine can respond more quickly when you press the accelerator and produce stronger horsepower and torque.
High-Quality BBK Throttle Body
Another key piece of the airflow upgrade is the BBK 73mm throttle body. The throttle body controls how much air enters the engine, and increasing its diameter helps remove another restriction in the intake path. BBK designed this unit with a larger bore than the stock throttle body, allowing the engine to draw in more air when the throttle opens. This leads to quicker throttle response and a more immediate connection between the accelerator pedal and the engine. The throttle body is CNC machined from durable aluminum and uses modern drive by wire electronics that integrate cleanly with the truck’s factory system. Installation is straightforward and works with both factory and aftermarket intake systems, making it a perfect match for the upgraded intake included in this package.
Aggressive 3" Magnaflow Cat-Back Kit for Sound and Power
Helping the engine breathe on the exhaust side is the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system included in this package. Magnaflow designed this system with mandrel bent 3 inch tubing that allows exhaust gases to exit the engine more smoothly than the restrictive factory system. When exhaust flow improves, the engine can operate more efficiently and produce stronger power throughout the rev range. At the same time, the Magnaflow muffler gives the truck a deeper and more aggressive tone that adds character without overwhelming the cabin during normal driving. The system keeps the factory resonator in place to help control interior noise, making it a great choice for trucks that see daily use. Finished with a polished 4 inch exhaust tip and built from durable stainless steel, the system adds both performance and a clean, finished look at the rear of the truck.
SCT Livewire TS+ Tuner with 5-Star Custom Tunes
Bringing everything together is the SCT Livewire TS+ performance tuner loaded with 5-Star custom tuning. The Livewire connects to the truck’s OBD-II port and allows the engine computer to be recalibrated so it can take full advantage of the improved airflow from the intake, throttle body, and exhaust system. The custom tunes adjust fuel delivery, ignition timing, and transmission behavior to unlock stronger horsepower, better torque, and improved throttle response. The device itself features a large color touchscreen that makes it easy to navigate menus and monitor engine data in real time. It can display multiple performance gauges, read and clear diagnostic codes, and log data for troubleshooting if needed. Once the tune is installed, the Livewire can remain mounted on the dash as a performance monitor, giving you both added power and a clear view of how your truck is running.

Select Tunes by Octane and Performance
5-Star's tunes turn up your 2011 to 2014 F150 3.7L's power by adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your truck makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5-Star's custom tuning even takes into account tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that your F150 operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5-Star's custom tunes are available in several variations for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a wide range of tuning options.

With its factory tune, 5-Star's test truck put down peak numbers of 220 horsepower and and 218lb-ft of torque. With 5-Star's 93 octane Performance/Tow tune, their truck managed to throw down 233 horsepower and 229lb-ft of torque, a gain of 13 horsepower and 11lb-ft of torque. While the peak gains aren't overly dramatic, 5-Star's 93 octane Performance Tune provided a whopping 210lb-ft of torque at 2500rpm, while the factory tune barely managed to crank out 170lb-ft, and not flattening back out until 2700 rpm. That's a 40lb-ft difference in low-end torque that now comes in earlier than stock, meaning you can still get improved low-end grunt, even if you stick with lower-tier fuel.
