First off I must say that this kit is perfect for leveling your truck. My suspension was all pretty worn and this kit made it feel like a new truck again. Follow the instructions and the install is a breeze. Make sure you thoroughly understand how they want the upper control arms installed before you attempt it. It may take a little brute force to get the tapered shaft into the knuckle as the delta joints are gonna be real hard to move right out of the box. We ended up putting the nut on the shaft a few threads up and using a socket with extension for leverage and then tapping the socket with a baby sledge to get it at the right angle so the threads didn't get chewed up passing through the knuckle then used nut to suck it into place. I also replaced LCAs, hubs/wheel bearings and end links at the same time so it is basically a complete new front end minus CVS. The truck rides great and the suspension looks great too. On a smooth road they a better than stock and on rougher roads they are just slightly harsher than stock. The tires stick to the gravel roads and do well with the washboards. Havent been off road yet but will update when I do. Steering is great even with oversized tires and aftermarket rims. Overall I would recommend this kit to the people who want to lift the truck a little, get bigger tires on it and know that they can do some off-roading with no worries. Threw in a couple pics. My truck is old and I live on a gravel road so she needs some rust control work done and she's never clean for more than a few minutes at a time. Thanks Stg3MS!

I pieced this kit together before it was offered as a package and it is a great solution for those who want a level and quality shocks without going overboard. You get exactly what you pay for with this setup and it makes the truck ride fantastic. Actually this package is cheaper than when I purchased the items separate back in 2016. I have used this setup on 2 leased trucks so far with no issues. I would like to possibly upgrade to the delta joint however I have not seen much info on it yet. Make sure you get the adjustable fox wrench if needed and get some boots or shock guards for the rears by fox. I will say after 5 years, the quality still stands however some of the hardware finishing has started to oxidize/rust along with the coils and the rear shock tubes tend to get a little pitted.

I bought this kit because the pictures made it look great, which it does. After installing it, I was pretty disappointed with the ride quality. It rides so rough now, what I imagine riding in a covered wagon would be like. Overall, I would not recommend if you don’t want to get beat to death driving down the highway

Customer Question What is the max tire size I can run with this setup on a 2019 F-150 using a 17x9 wheel with 0 offset?

Asked by: William - 11/16/2025
Customer Answer Max tire size really depends on if you are willing to do any trimming/bending for clearance. We typically run something like a 285/75r17 to keep tire width more manageable.

Customer Question Are the shock bodies bare aluminum, or are they costed to protect. I have bare aluminum body Bilstein now and they are completely oxide and pitted from the Pennsylvania winters. Hate to spend even more money than what the Bilsteins cost, unless the Fox's hold up better.

Asked by: Jason Saeler - 3/3/2023
Customer Answer The Bilsteins are not aluminum. The Bilsteins are steel-bodied. The Fox 2.0s are aluminum and can hold up to salt better than steel, and most of the surfaces are also anodized. The exception is the spring, which is powder coated steel.

Asked by: Hunter - 10/4/2022
Customer Answer Any amount of leveling will change CV angles to at least some degree. The 2" of leveling provided by the Fox 2.0s generally do not cause enough of a change to cause serious CV issues.

Customer Question I have 20x10 -19 fuel contra with 33x12.5 tire will these work

Asked by: David - 5/4/2022
Customer Answer Those wheels and tires will clear the UCAs, though a wheel with that much negative offset will likely have some valance rub with a 12.50" wide tire, but it's likely nothing that some trimming can solve.

Customer Question A 20x12 wheel with -12 offset should work right?

Asked by: Dustin - 4/9/2022
Customer Answer A 20x12" wheel with a -12mm offset will technically fit. However, with that wheel's 6" of backspace, you will not clear a 12.50" wide tire, which severely restricts your tire options with that wide of a wheel. Your best bet would be a different wheel. Customer Question I have a 2014 F-150 4x4 Screw with the Auto Spring 2.5" Leveling Kit AS25014, and F150 ICON Six Speed 17x8.5" Wheel (Satin Black w/ Machined Face) IVD1417856350MB with 315/70R17 Open Country AT III. UCA's are almost sitting on spring with aftermarket struts. Would I be able to run 2014-2020 F150 4WD Fox 2.0 Stage 2 Suspension Kit FOX-14STAGE2 with the shock basically set at 0" of lift. Tires worked great with OEM UCA's and coil spring assembly, but busted those struts and new ones are way to high.

Asked by: Chris - 3/30/2022
Customer Answer You can use the coilovers with an Auto Spring 2.5" leveling kit if you set the coilovers to a 0" stock ride height. The UCAs included in this kit will also clear your wheel and tire combination, so you should be good to go.

Customer Question Will this kit work on a 2021 F-150 supercrew 4WD

Asked by: Bryan - 9/5/2021
Customer Answer It will not. The UCAs in this kit will not fit a 2021 F150. Fox has also not confirmed fitment of their 2.0s on the 2021 F150s and will likely release new part numbers here in the very near future.

Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (9/7/2021)

Customer Question I'm considering getting these for my '21 F150 FX4. I believe that these are the exact same coilovers included in the Roush by Fox 2.0 system, and Roush says they DO work on a '21 as long as you follow the install guide by the coil seat down to the correct position. So I assume these will work exactly the same way, despite you not having updating your website to include the '21s as "compatible?"

Asked by: Varmint - 8/17/2021
Customer Answer Fox themselves have not confirmed fitment of their coilovers or shocks on the 2021 F150s at all, and while Roush states that lowering the ride height on the coilovers a bit will allow a fit on the 2021 F150s, adjusting these coilovers is a lot easier said than done. Secondly, it's very likely at this point that Fox will be coming out with new part numbers for the 2021 F150s (though we don't have an outright ETA). Thirdly, the UCAs included in this package will not fit a 2021 F150. Grimm OffRoad will have 2021-specific UCAs out here in the near future.

Asked by: Steele - 3/28/2021
Customer Answer This kit will fit an RWD truck. However, you will get slightly more ride height than the Fox 2.0 coilovers are rated for on the 4WD trucks. Secondly, we also recommend using a 1.5" rear block or a 4WD take-off block to keep the rear Fox 2.0s in an ideal travel range.

Customer Question Can I stack a 2” spacer style leveling kit on top of this kit?

Asked by: Tyler - 3/8/2021
Customer Answer We do not recommend taking the 2014-2020 F150s beyond 3" of total front leveling. If you dropped the Fox 2.0's ride height down so that you're under 3" of total leveling with the spacer, you should be fine. However, we do not recommend using a 2" spacer with the coilovers at their full 2" ride height.

Customer Question Will the upper control arms work with 17 inch raptor takeoff wheels and tires?

Asked by: L - 1/17/2021
Customer Answer They will not due to the backspacing of the OEM Raptor wheels and the width of the tires. You would need to go with a narrower tire or a wheel spacer.

Customer Question Can i do a add a leaf setup so i can keep my rake on the truck and will this affect tire size?

Asked by: Cjc - 12/13/2020
Customer Answer Unfortunately, the Fox 2.0 rear shocks can only handle 1" of lift over stock, and can't handle most 1.5" to 2" add-a-leaf kits. You would need a rear shock that can handle up to 2" of lift. You could potentially use up to a 2.50" rear block, though you won't win back all of your factory rake.

Asked by: Dan - 11/19/2020
Customer Answer You will likely not be able to clear the included UCA with that wheel and tire combination due to the width of the tire and the backspacing of the wheel. With the 6.5" backspacing on the stock wheel, the maximum tire width we recommend is an 11.5"/295mm.

Customer Question I can use this Kit with FUEL D673 wheels, 20x10 18mm offset on my F150 4WD 2017, with 32x12.5 tires without having to make any front modifications for the celarnence

Asked by: Luis - 10/27/2020
Customer Answer If you're using a 20x10" wheel with a +18mm offset, that puts you at a 6.2" backspace, which is too much backspace for the UCAs to clear a 12.50" wide tire. The widest tire you can probably get away with on that wheel is a 295/11.50" wide tire. A 295/55R20 would likely clear without issues.

Customer Question What is the biggest tire that I can run with this installed on my 2017 f150

Asked by: Rupaloop - 4/28/2020
Customer Answer That's going to depend entirely on what wheels you're using, specifically their widths, offsets, and backspacing. If you want to avoid trimming with most wheel options, we generally recommend a 33x11.50" tire or close metric equivalent. Customer Question It said maximum of 5 back spacing, does that mean less then that is able to fit fine?

Asked by: Michael - 2/19/2020
Customer Answer These UCAs require a maximum backspacing of 5" to clear a 12.50" wide tire. If you use a tire that's narrower than 12.50" wide, then you can use a wheel with more offset. A wheel with less offset and backspacing will give you even more tire clearance for your UCAs. However, wheels with low offsets and backspacing can limit your maximum tire size if you want to avoid trimming. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what wheels and tires you're thinking about using.

Customer Question I am not exactly looking for level I would like a slight rake. So I believe I would like 1 to 1 1/2” in the rear. I plan to add air bags to help with towing but I don’t want to loss any towing capacity. Will this work great or do I need to be looking in a different direction?

Asked by: James Parnell - 8/8/2019
Customer Answer At this kit's out-of-the-box ride height, you'd have about .5" of rake. You could add a 2" block in conjunction with this kit to get the rake you want, but that could pose an issue with your choice of Air Spring. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're trying to do.

Asked by: Chris - 3/30/2019
Customer Answer On the factory wheels, the widest tire you can go with and still clear the UCAs is a 295mm/11.6". You'd be pretty safe at a 295/55R20 or 285/60R20, though could probably get away with a 295/60R20 with only minimal trimming, if any.

Customer Question Do the 2014 f150 4wd fox stage 2 suspension kit work on my f150 2014 fx4 with a 6" zone lift kit.

Asked by: wolf - 2/6/2019
Customer Answer The coilovers will work in conjunction with the Zone lift's strut spacers (though we do suggest lowering the Fox 2.0s ride height to a 0" stock height") and the UCAs will work with Zone's lift just fine. However, the rear shocks included in this kit are not long enough to work with a 6" lift, and you would need shocks meant for 6" lift kits like the BDS Fox 2.0s for 6" Lifts. Asked by: Roger - 1/14/2019
Customer Answer Unfortunately, the Fox 2.0 Front Coilovers are only rated for 0-2" of height, and the rear shocks can only handle 1" of net lift over stock, which makes them unsuitable for an add-a-leaf kit. Your better bet would be the Halo Lifts Coilovers and Halo Lifts rear shocks.

Customer Question Does the Ready Lift 3" rear block work with this suspension kit?

Asked by: Rashied - 7/31/2018
Customer Answer Technically, the Fox 2.0 rear shocks included in this package are only rated to handle 1" of rear lift over stock, while a 3" block adds 1.5" of rear lift. According to Fox, you'd only be able to use up to a 2.50" rear block, though many customers have use 3" blocks with the Fox 2.0s without issues.

Customer Question Will 33 12.50 20 tires and stock wheels work with this kit ?

Asked by: Feliciano - 1/1/2018

Asked by: Bryson - 2/14/2017
Customer Answer It will not. Stacking a leveling spacer on top of the front coilovers will give your truck too much front ride height and cause issues with you CV, UCA, tie rod, and LCA angles. If you want to go beyond 3" of lift, we recommend getting a complete 4" suspension lift kit.

Customer Question Using Factory 18" or 20" wheels (and only using the coil overs to bump the front of the truck up 1") if I did not buy wider tires and stayed within the factory 275 55R20 or 275 65R18 range would the tires rub on the ICON upper control arms when turning or at full lock?

Asked by: Ben - 12/29/2016
Customer Answer According to ICON, the UCAs require a maximum of backspacing of 5" to clear a 12.50" wide tire. The stock wheels have 6.5" of backspace, so by the math, you'd be able to clear up to an 11" wide tire. That being said, we were able to clear a 295 wide tire on one of our project trucks using the stock wheels and ICON's UCAs without issue. In short, you'd be fine using a 275 wide tire on the stock wheels, though you could potentially jump up to 295 wide or do a 285 wide to be safe while still getting some extra width.

Customer Question Will this kit work with 285/76/18 Toyo R/T and 18" Method Mesh Wheels?

Asked by: David - 7/30/2016
Customer Answer Those tires are narrow enough to clear the UCAs, but being that they're 34.8" tall, you'd likely get some rub on your valance and fender flares. You'd probably want to consider dropping down to a 285/65R18 (32.6" x 11.2") tire to properly clear without trimming or rubbing.

Customer Question I have a 2014 F150 (4WD) Supercrew. I am considering the Fox Stage 2 Suspenision Kit (leveling kit) would I be able to fit 285/65r20's on the truck with this kit? Thanks.

Asked by: Buckshot757 - 7/11/2016
Customer Answer While a 285/65R20 is narrow enough to avoid UCA contact even on the stock wheels, that tire is roughly a 34.6" tall, and you would likely have some amount of rub on your front valance an inner wheel well, though you could probably trim and get them to fit. The largest tire you could use on the factory wheels is about a 33"x11.5" or close metric equivalent. If you wanted to stick with a 285, then you could probably get away with a 285/60R20 with possibly only very minor amounts of trimming.

Customer Question So I recently purchase the Stage 2 fox kit with UCA's. My understanding is that you need at least 5.5 inches of back space. I wanted to buy the XD Heist818 rims which have an 18mm offset with 5.71 backspace. My question to you is, what is the biggest tire I can use for this combo and or will the rim have too much offset to even use with the UCA's installed?

Asked by: cruz gandara - 7/5/2016
Customer Answer According to ICON, the UCAs require a maximum of a 5" backspace to clear a 12.50" wide tire. To clear the UCAs with a 5.71" backspace, you'd probably need to stick with an 11.5" or 295 wide tire at a maximum, and a 295/65R18 or 295/55R20 would be good tire choices for this kit to avoid any amount of rubbing or UCA clearance problems.

Asked by: Peter - 11/17/2015
Customer Answer You wouldn't be able to fit on anything bigger than a 33"x11.5" tire, if that, due to the backspacing requirements of the upper control arms in this kit and the large amount of backspace caused by your wheels. The UCAs require wheels with a maximum of 5" of backspace in order to fit 12.50" wide tire. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with what you're trying to put together.

Customer Question I have a 6 inch Rough Country lift, would I be able to use this system with the strut spacers rough country has and not have to worry about the fox shocks?

Asked by: Adrian - 7/22/2015
Customer Answer Unfortunately, you'd likely have an issue with the UCA as well, if you're planning on using the coilovers with your lift kit's strut spacers. The problem is that the strut spacer moves the upper mount for the coilover down, and since the upper coilover mount protrudes out more than stock, it causes serious fitment issues with the UCAs larger tubular arms. Your best bet for a performance improvement without fitment problems is to get the coilovers on their own and then also grab a pair of BDS's Fox 2.0 Shock for a 6" Lift Kit.

Customer Question Right now I have a 2in ready lift leveling kit on my truck and I'm looking to upgrade, but I have 20x10 -12 offset wheels with 33in tires, would I have a problem with the uca with the wheels?

Asked by: Nick - 7/22/2015
Customer Answer Your wheels will be fine, due to the fact that they have a 5.00" backspace, and most UCAs require a maximum of a 5.50" backspace for proper fitment. Your tires may pose an issue if they're overly wide, and you could see some rubbing when turning.

Customer Question With this 2" front lift, what would be the rake on the truck? What size block would I need to get to keep the stock rake? Do the Pro Comp UCA's have a zerk fitting for grease? Are the bushings in the UCA's clevite or poly? Can these rear shocks be used with whatever size lift block you say? If I didn't get a rear lift block, would I need to add different bump stops?

Asked by: Shaun - 5/29/2015
Customer Answer Depending on the mileage of the truck, you'd likely have 1/4" to a 1/2" of front rake at 2", with higher-mileage F150s having closer to that 1/2". To keep the stock rake, you'd likely need either a 2.25" or 2.50" block, depending on how much you actually gain in the front. The UCAs do have Zerk fittings for the bushing which are made out of PTMEG. The rear shocks can be used with up to 3" blocks without issue. new bump stops aren't required unless your stock ones are looking worse for wear.

Customer Question If this front coil overs are cranked to the full 2" of lift, would a 305/70r17 fit without rubbing, or with minor trimming of the front valiance? I would like to run a 17" wheel with 0mm offset and a 4.75" backspace. Would this tire and wheel combo work with this suspension system?

Asked by: Andrew - 4/6/2015
Customer Answer You'd likely need to trim slightly for those tires, especially if you're going to grab a set with an aggressive tread pattern, but it would likely only be for the front valance piece.

Customer Question Do the Pro Comp UCAs help mitigate ball joint wear over the stock UCAs? Provided most of my driving will be on paved roads, will I see that much gain from the Stage 2 vs the Stage 1 kit?

Asked by: Max - 3/5/2015
Customer Answer Pro Comp's UCAs have a uniball joint, so there's little to actually wear. The real benefit of the UCAs in this kit is to give your truck's front suspension more travel, since the uniball joint won't bind like the factory ball joint and the UCA won't contact the spring under full articulation until farther in their droop. If you're not going to be doing much off-roading or putting your front suspension under full articulation, then you'd likely be better off with the Fox Stage 1 Kit.

Customer Question Good Day, Overall this kit seems appropriate for my 2014 STX 4x4. It will mostly be driven on-road, however, when it is taken off road the lava fields on Big Island Hawaii can be incredibly treacherous. It seems the ICONs are considered more robust/durable, and I am curious if that is a better option for the occasional off-roading I'll be doing? Also, I'm interested in fitting a 33" tire at some point. I want to run out some of the life on my stock wheel/tire setup before I buy new. Currently I have the factory 265/55/20 (a hair less than 32" I believe) Are there any compatibility issues with the UCA and stock wheel setup? Thanks very much, Colin

Asked by: Colin Burton - 2/23/2015
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0s are pretty strong and can hold up well, but if you're planning on doing anything at decent speeds or if those lava fields are going to require fairly extreme and consistent articulation of your suspension, then the ICON kit may be a better choice, even if their street ride is a little harsher than the Fox kit. Your only issue with keeping your stock wheels is that we generally recommend using wheels with 5.50" of backspace or less for proper fitment of the UCAs. The 20" stock STX sport package wheels will technically fit, but you'll pretty limited as far as tire options are concerned, and you likely won't be able to go beyond an 11" wide tire at maximum.

Customer Question If I installed this leveling kit on my 2014 F150 super cab STX Sport which has 275/55-20 tires how big of a tire could I fit on the truck (keeping the stock wheels) and keep it under 7' tall. The reason I ask is my parking garage at work has a height limit of 7' for clearance, Fords website says the truck is 6' 3" tall (regular cab) and I know my trucks highest point must be taller than that. What's your recommendation?

Asked by: Ben - 2/23/2015
Customer Answer Honestly, you should get a measurement of your truck as it sits now. You can't really go off of Ford's stat sheets given manufacturing variances, and the amount of wear and tear on your truck's suspension. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 once you have those measurements in hand so we can get get more specific about what you need.
